Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a significant and ongoing offensive against it by the US and Israel.

Missile Defenses Activated

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - stated they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That initial attack - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on areas linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military said it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the projectiles with great effectiveness and shot down a series of missiles," it added.

It said wreckage landed in a populated district in the capital, causing some property damage and the death of one civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
