Netflix Casts Ideal Actor for Bentham in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed recently that the talented performer has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bentham. The role has the ability to change into an exact copy of any person they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. Escola, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character re-envisioned as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, as in the source material and cartoon version.
Escola will work alongside a number of fresh additions who will portray the group to life, such as chief the main antagonist, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a important part of Baroque Works, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the next season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this marks a significant shift in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could suggest more adjustments to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the character. In addition to their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10, 2026.
